Tails & Trails, Inc. in Portland, Oregon, is proud to announce our mobile barcode technology. We have pioneered new accountability standards by using this tracking system. This provides you with real-time certainty that your dog is being fully cared for. We do this by using mobile barcode technology, email alerts, GPS tracking, and online tools for accuracy and convenience.
Mobile Barcode Technology
Know when one of our dog walkers arrives and leaves your home with our tracking system. To do this, we provide you with an individualized barcode that is printed on a magnet strip to be placed on your refrigerator. The magnet is easy for our walkers to access.
Once a walker scans your magnet with a mobile device (upon entering or exiting your home), the server processes the information. It is then synchronized to your schedule and verified for accuracy. Additionally, you have the choice of receiving an email alert for each scan.
GPS Tracking
After you receive an alert confirming a walker’s arrival to your location, you may then log on to your secure online management page to track GPS coordinates of your pet's walk. This way, you never have to second-guess where or how far your furry friend was walked.
Online Tools
Receive a personalized schedule-management page to help manage your dog's walking schedule. By having an online page with us, you get to view past and future scheduled walks. If necessary, you also have the choice to make requests outside of your animal's normal schedule. Once a request is made, you receive a confirmation email from us within 24 hours.
Tails & Trails values the safety and security of your home. Our policy is that you have a lockbox/garage-door code/concierge access. We ask that you provide us with access codes if you already own a lockbox or door code. If not, we can provide a lockbox for a one-time fee of $20. It will be added to your first invoice.
Affordable Fee
Pay only a low one-time $25 processing fee when you sign up for this service. The activation fee includes programming time and printed barcode labels.
